It made me so proud to be British!

What an honour it was for me to attend Walpole British Luxury Awards 2021, at The Dorchester Hotel this week.

What an honour it was for me to attend Walpole British Luxury Awards 2021, at The Dorchester Hotel this week. Finally after two years a chance to meet in person! Over 300 leaders of the UK luxury industry gathered to celebrate. The occasion brought together an assembly of the most dynamic influencers and creative talent, all looking to celebrate our national talent pool of extraordinary innovators.

Congratulations to the winners, Anya Hindmarch, Bremont, Burberry and McLaren Automotive. Richard Quinn and Monica Galetti won new Great Creative Britons award and Rita Ora took the British Artistic Icon award.

The spirit of enterprise in the luxury sector is so incredibly buoyant and powerful currently.

It was also commendable on this wonderful night that in all the celebration of luxury and what it represents, there was still a very human dimension in recognising the work of leading British scientists and also, recognising the critically important, relentless work of the NSPCC. For all of these reasons, I am proud to be a Member and to be directly associated with Walpole and all its very worthy objectives.

It made me so proud to be British!
